If your University hasn’t got an ‘Overhead at ….’ facebook group then you are missing out on some serious banter and laughter.
The idea revolves around a facebook group whose wall is open to students to post random tid bits from strange and funny conversations overheard somewhere on campus or around the city.
This week, we flicked through the Birmingham University page, which has around 3000 members at the moment. Check out some highlights below:
Birmingham University
Overheard in library:
Mate, I’m logged on to ‘random girl’s’ facebook cos she’s asked me to harvest some shit for her on farmville while she’s in Holland
Random guy:
Guy: Abortions are free right? So technically it’s cheaper not to bother buying condoms
A couple chatting away:
Boyfriend: I really don’t know what we should do for Valentines Day.
Girlfriend: You just want to go home and play COD don’t you?
Boyfriend: Nah….My internet connection is rubbish
In halls:
Flatmate: What’s the difference between a gap year and a leap year?
Overheard at Gun Barrels pub after heavy snow:
Guy 1: This weather is such a cockblock! She won’t come to mine because she says it’s too cold to get out of bed!
Guy 2: Why don’t you just go to her’s then?
Guy 1: I’m not allowed…after last time…
Two guys on train:
Guy 1: But seriously mate, you should empty the bin in your room before she comes round—that’s like a goldmine for CSI style girls.
Guy 2: What do you mean?
Guy 1: My girlfriend found a condom wrapper in mine the other day.
*pause*
Guy 1: We don’t use condoms…
Guy 2: But…? Oh…Lucy….
Guy 1: Yeah
Guy 2: Couldn’t you just tell her you were having a posh wank?

74. Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch as I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!

Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your article seem to be running off the screen in Opera. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know. The design and style look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Kudos
